Dr. Reddy is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and has both a D.D.S. and M.D. degree. His services include placement of implants, removal of impacted teeth (frequently wisdom teeth) and diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of other pathologies. Frequently, his surgeries are done under general anesthesia.
Dental implants are changing the way people live. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. A person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything, knowing that their teeth appear natural and that their facial contours will be preserved and they can eat a normal healthy diet. Patients with dental implants can smile with confidence. We are routinely replacing failed teeth with implant supported teeth (frequently called “all on four”) type dentures. We usually support dentures with 6 implants.
Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt within the mouth and can often cause problems in adolescents and adults.. When they align properly and gum tissue is healthy, wisdom teeth do not have to be removed.
Some people simply don’t have enough room to accommodate third molars. As a result, wisdom teeth often become encased in gum or bone tissue, which can cause pain and pressure. Infection may also occur, which can damage the jawbone and adjacent teeth, creating a larger problem. If wisdom teeth do erupt, they typically crowd existing teeth. Crowding makes for an unappealing smile and increases the risk of gum disease and tooth decay.
We have a skilled team to treat wisdom teeth anomalies, including anesthesia and careful and gentle removal of the wisdom teeth.
Sometimes surgery is needed when jaws do not align correctly and/or the teeth do not seem to fit together or function properly. Teeth are straightened with orthodontics and corrective jaw surgery repositions a misaligned jaw. This not only improves facial appearance, but also ensures that teeth meet correctly and function properly.
